Content

While we will accept submissions that are thoughtful, in-depth, provocative and challenge conventional wisdom, people – oriented and service – driven on any topic of relevance to South Sudan, we will give primacy to contributions that are in tune with the themes and indicators of the Sustainable Development Goal of the UN and Fragile State Index of the Foundation for Peace as they apply to South Sudan.

Decision making about publication

Every submission is peer reviewed and facts verified as much as is possible before publication. In this process of review, suggested headlines and subheads are subject to change, content may be edited to further enhance style or substance. We may add links for context and other artwork at the discretion of our editorial team. We will only respond to authors whose work we are interested to publish. If you do not hear from us within the stipulated time, please consider that we might not be interested in your work.

Plagiarism

Authors should include a letter indicating that the work has not been previously published and is not under consideration elsewhere. Authors must obtain permission for materials such as figures, tables, art, pictures, photographs and extensive quotes taken directly or adapted in minor ways from another source. Authors should not republish materials in any form without permission from the original source.

Understanding

These guidelines should be read together with other policies provided on the website. By agreeing for your piece to be published on this website, contributors will indemnify us from any liability that might arise from claims of plagiarism.

Author’s and submission token of appreciation

We are a not-for-profit platform committed to information sharing in South Sudan. We do not charge our readers. We also do not charge submission fee for contributors. We cannot afford to pay for contributions either. Op-ed submissions are contributions authors who are leaders in and knowledgeable about. Such publications will be published as such. If we consider such contributions engaging to read and useful to our audience, we will enthusiastically promote them.
