Family of freelance journalist killed in South Sudan call on FBI to launch war crimes investigation


The family of a young American journalist killed while covering South Sudan’s recent civil war on Thursday called on the FBI to investigate his death as a potential war crime.

Christopher Allen, a freelance reporter who had reported for The Daily Telegraph among other outlets, was shot dead during a battle between government and rebel forces two years ago.
